Alexander joins San Francisco Opera's Merola Opera Program in 2014

Alexander will be seen this summer performing with the distinguished Merola Opera Program at the San Francisco Opera. Alumni of the Merola program include such distinguished artists as Anna Netrebko, Patricia Racette, Deborah Voigt, Dolora Zajick, and Thomas Hampson, among many others. Alexander joins the Merola roster in May with performances in their annual concert series, as well as covering the role of Stanley Kowalsky in Andre Previn's A Streetcar Named Desire.

Alexander is featured on the Barihunks website

Alexander Elliott was featured as a reader submission on the Barihunks blog. Barihunks stated, "The Portland Opera Resident Young Artist Program was one of the first recipients of a Barihunks Grant from our annual calendar proceeds. So we were particularly delighted when our latest reader submission was one of the young artists performing Samuel in Gilbert & Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance with the company."

Portland Opera announces 50th Anniversary Season

The Portland Opera revealed today its plans for the company's 50th anniversary season. Productions for the season include Die FledermausCarmenShow BoatThe Rake's Progress, and L'elisir d'amore. Alexander returns as the company's resident baritone for performances as Frank in Die Fledermaus, Le Dancaire in Carmen, and Belcore in L'elisir d'amore. Visit the Portland Opera's website for performance dates and tickets.

Alexander is given the John Moriarty Award from Central City Opera

Upon his arrival at Central City, Colorado, Alexander received the John Moriarty Award, an award given to one exceptionally talented apprentice artist with the company each year. In addition to the family performance of 'Il barbiere di Siviglia', Alexander was seen over the summer as Frank in Ned Rorem's 'Our Town'.
